Crown & Champa Resorts has unveiled its 11th property in the Maldives with the opening of Nala Maldives by Jawakara. The resort was officially inaugurated by Tourism Minister Ibrahim Thoriq and Champa Brothers Chairperson Mohamed Moosa during a ceremony held at Nala Maldives on 1st December 2025.
According to Crown & Champa CEO Mohamed Solah, the property has undergone a comprehensive redevelopment over the past two years, emerging as a five-star entry-level resort built on a foundation of sustainability-driven operations. Tourism Minister Thoriq Ibrahim praised Crown & Champa as one of the Maldives’ most innovative and impactful hospitality companies, acknowledging its ongoing contribution to the nation’s tourism sector.
The resort, formerly Innahura Maldives Resort in Lhaviyani Atoll, has been transformed into a fully reimagined five-star destination. Inspired by the Dhivehi word for beauty, Nala Maldives is designed as a tranquil yet contemporary island escape that blends barefoot luxury with natural simplicity. Set within the turquoise waters of Lhaviyani Atoll, the 10-hectare private island offers an intimate atmosphere framed by soft white sands and a vibrant lagoon, with guests arriving via a scenic 35-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport.

Nala Maldives features 80 villas that combine tropical warmth with modern finishes, each offering generous outdoor space, king-size bedding, and a private veranda facing the ocean breeze. Several villa categories are solar-powered, bringing together sustainability and comfort. The resort offers a selection of Sunrise Beach Villas, Romantic Beach Villas, Sunset Beach Pool Villas, and Ocean Pool Villas, each designed to immerse guests in soothing island surroundings.
Dining at Nala Maldives takes guests on a global culinary journey across a collection of restaurants and bars, all offering open ocean views and distinctive flavours. Velu serves international cuisine with live cooking stations, while Milos showcases Greek and Mediterranean dishes. Kumo highlights Asian flavours from Japan, China, Korea and Southeast Asia, complemented by the healthy, grab-and-go offerings of Snack Lab. Guests can also unwind with Champagne and gourmet bites at Bubbles, enjoy relaxed poolside drinks at Sand Bar, or spend an evening at Milos Bar, inspired by the gentle rhythms of the sea. A wide array of experiences and recreational activities invite guests to explore both land and ocean.

The resort’s sports and leisure programme includes tennis, padel, futsal, volleyball, badminton and pétanque, along with a fitness centre, freshwater pool and a game room equipped with table tennis, billiards, darts, foosball and board games. Fishing excursions, ranging from morning and afternoon trips to deep-sea adventures—further connect guests with Maldivian tradition. Underwater exploration is led by Prodivers, offering guided diving, snorkelling, and PADI courses, as well as complimentary snorkelling equipment. A decompression chamber is conveniently available at nearby Kuredu Resort. Water sports enthusiasts can also enjoy jet-skiing, wakeboarding, catamaran sailing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, manta sightings, turtle expeditions and dolphin safaris.

Wellness is centred at Sulha Spa, a calming sanctuary offering massages, Ayurveda rituals, yoga, and a range of salon treatments. The spa also features a Himalayan salt room, sauna, cold bath therapy, red-light therapy and organic skincare, providing a holistic approach to relaxation and rejuvenation.
Guests of Nala Maldives also enjoy exclusive access to the neighbouring islands of Mabin and Dheru, which offer additional sports facilities and à la carte dining options just a short three-minute boat ride away. The property welcomes guests aged 12 and above, creating a peaceful and intimate setting ideal for couples and tranquillity seekers.
