Sun Siyam Group Strengthens Internal Leadership with Key Promotions

Sun Siyam Group has announced the appointment of Aisha Faiz as Head of the Planning Department and Ahmed Ibrahim as Director of Human Resources and Talent Development, reinforcing its continued focus on strengthening internal leadership and supporting long-term growth across the group.

Aisha Faiz takes on the role of Head of the Planning Department, where she will lead the strategic direction and overall management of the department, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and performance excellence. With over two decades of experience in finance and business, she brings strong expertise in procurement, logistics, and operational management, positioning her to drive disciplined planning, cost control, and effective project execution.

In her concurrent role as COO of Sun Siyam Group, Aisha will continue to oversee the Purchasing Department, ensuring strong alignment between procurement and project planning, and reinforcing a centralised and integrated approach across functions. Her international academic background includes a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Business Management (Magna Cum Laude) from Marymount Manhattan College, New York, and an MBA from Edith Cowan University, Australia. She is also recognised as a member of Sigma Beta Delta and Alpha Chi honour societies. Having spent over a decade in Singapore leading her own business ventures, she brings a valuable global perspective while maintaining a strong connection to Sun Siyam’s origins, having been part of its early foundation.

Ahmed Ibrahim has been promoted to Director of Human Resources and Talent Development, following his role as Director of Training and Development at Sun Siyam since March 2025. During this time, he played a key role in advancing people development initiatives across the organisation, successfully delivering training programmes, strengthening corporate culture, and implementing leadership development strategies.

In his new role, Ahmed will oversee all HR and talent development functions across Sun Siyam Group, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training, learning and development, and organisational development. With over 20 years of experience in human resources and talent development, his focus will be on strengthening the group’s people strategy, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting long-term organisational excellence. Ahmed holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Westminster (UK) and a Bachelor’s in HR and Administrative Management from La Trobe University (Australia). He is a Chartered Member of CIPD (UK) and has been recognised among the 100 Top Global HR Minds at the World HRD Congress. He is also the President and Co-Founder of the Maldives Association of HR Professionals (MAHRP).
