Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa announces that its General Manager, Greg Allan, has been recognised as one of the Best  Resort General Managers in the Maldives at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2026. 

Making the achievement even more remarkable, this marks the second consecutive year that  Greg has received this prestigious recognition, underscoring his consistent leadership and  commitment to excellence in one of the world’s most competitive luxury hospitality  destinations. 

With an extensive career in hospitality spanning several decades, Greg has played a pivotal  role in shaping the continued success of Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa. His  strategic vision, guest-centric approach, and dedication to fostering a positive workplace  culture have contributed significantly to the resort’s reputation as one of the Maldives’ leading  island destinations.

Under Greg Allan’s leadership, Sheraton Maldives has continued to achieve significant  milestones across talent development, sustainability, guest experience, and product  enhancement. A strong advocate for nurturing local talent, he has championed the Marriott  International Maldives Apprenticeship Program (MIMAP), helping create opportunities for  aspiring Maldivian hospitality professionals while encouraging greater female participation in  operational roles.  

Greg has also played a key role in advancing the resort’s sustainability agenda. Throughout  his tenure, the resort successfully relocated 800 coral colonies as part of a coral conservation  initiative aimed at protecting marine biodiversity and preserving the natural environment that  is central to the Maldivian experience.  

Equally focused on service excellence, Greg has led a culture of continuous learning across  the resort. Through more than 10,000 hours of associate training, the resort achieved a  significant year-on-year increase in guest satisfaction, with notable improvements across  cleanliness, maintenance, and staff service. These efforts have further strengthened guest  loyalty and reinforced the resort’s reputation for exceptional hospitality. 

In addition, Greg is currently spearheading a comprehensive resort renewal project,  overseeing the refurbishment of villas, restaurants, and key guest facilities. The transformation  is designed to elevate the guest experience while ensuring Sheraton Maldives Full Moon  Resort & Spa continues to meet the evolving expectations of modern luxury travelers.
