Maldives Association for Tourism Professionals (ATP) congratulates Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and the Ministry of Tourism for their hard work and dedication to achieve a milestone arrival of 1.67 million tourists to the Maldives.
MMPRC, along with the Tourism Ministry has conducted multiple activities to promote the Maldives as a tourism destination. In 2019, more than 130 events including fairs, roadshows, media FAM trips, and joint campaigns were conducted by MMPRC to facilitate in achieving this target. With the result of these activities, Maldives has achieved milestone arrival of 1.5 million tourists 38 days ahead of time and total tourist arrivals reaching 1.67 million by the end of the year.
ATP released a statement saying, “In this remarkable moment, all the members of the ATP and its board members would like to thank Minister of Tourism, Hon. Ali Waheed, Managing Director of MMPRC, Mr.Thoyyib Mohamed and all the employees of those two institutions for their hard work and dedication to achieve this milestone. ATP assures that it will remain supporting all the stakeholders of the Maldives Tourism Industry to promote and develop the tourism industry of Maldives.”
