Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, a barefoot sanctuary where authenticity meets eco-luxury, announces the launch of Banyan Tree Connections, a private, immersive holistic wellbeing journey for two, now available for bookings for stays from May 2025 onwards.
Offered as a supplement to villa reservations, this experience responds to a growing need for meaningful connections in an increasingly fragmented world. The programme invites guests to slow down and reconnect with themselves, with loved ones, and with the rhythms of nature through a curated series of movement, mindfulness, and shared rituals guided by Banyan Group’s 8 Pillars of Wellbeing.
“Banyan Tree Connections was created in response to a universal longing for deeper relationships, genuine presence, and time well spent together,” said Hery Koswoyo, General Manager of Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru. “Here at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, our tranquil island setting offers a natural canvas for this journey where each moment is intentional and every experience grounded in the essence of the original Maldives”.
A barefoot sanctuary where authenticity meets eco-luxury, Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru invites guests to experience the original Maldives through curated 2- and 3-night wellbeing immersion programmes. Designed to nurture balance, presence, and togetherness between partners, friends and family members, each experience unfolds in harmony with the island’s natural beauty.
The 2-night programme offers a restorative journey beginning with a Wellbeing Consultation and a Private Yoga Duo session to align body and breath. Guests are guided through a Herbal Oil & Reflexology Workshop, followed by a deeply restorative Breathwork & Sound Meditation experience. A 90-minute Time Together Spa Treatment fosters shared renewal, while a Private Sunset Cruise across the atoll offers a quiet moment to reconnect with nature’s vastness. The evenings are completed with a sharing-style Saffron Thai Dinner, complemented by curated healthy in-room snacks and a special welcome gift to mark the beginning of the journey.
The 3-night programme extends the immersion with deeper rituals and a greater embrace of the Maldivian spirit. In addition to the inclusions above, guests will experience a Conscious Grounding Session by the beach, a Maldivian Cooking Class inspired by local traditions, and a signature Lagoon Floating Therapy session – an exclusive highlight unique to Vabbinfaru. A holistic wellbeing treatment, with a choice between acupuncture or cupping therapy, deepens the healing journey. Completing each day, guests share a nourishing Saffron Thai dinner, curated in-room wellness amenities, and the timeless stillness of the original Maldives.
For over 30 years, Banyan Tree has pioneered holistic wellbeing, continuously evolving to meet the needs of modern travellers. Marking the first phase of Banyan Tree Spa & Wellbeing’s enhanced offerings, Banyan Tree Connections reflects a growing need for meaningful relationships through shared experiences. The global programme will also be available at three other selected locations – each deeply reflective of its natural and cultural essence.
In Phuket (June), guests can enjoy yoga, sound healing, reflexology, lagoon kayaking, and a serene Japanese dinner. In Mayakoba (July), Mayan-inspired rituals like Temazcal purification, breathwork, creative workshops, and a vibrant Mexican feast take center stage. In Anji (August), forest hikes, tea-infused spa treatments, and sound meditation unfold in a peaceful bamboo landscape, concluding with a Thai sharing-style dinner. Each retreat offers a holistic journey of renewal, rooted in nature and local heritage.
