Coco Collection has launched its new initiative, “Nurturing Minds,” featuring Wellness Navigators at Coco Bodu Hithi and Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu in conjunction with Global Wellness Day. This year-round programme aims to revolutionise mental health support for the company’s associates by prioritising easy access to emotional well-being resources.
The inaugural session addressed issues such as low self-esteem and the importance of self-love, emphasising mental health and overall well-being.
To kickstart the initiative, Coco Collection invited Dr Shanooha Mansoor, a Senior Consultant Specialist in Psychiatry, and her colleague, psychologist Ali Mikhail Mahmood Razee, to Coco Bodu Hithi. Dr. Mansoor highlighted the necessity of loving one’s mind as much as one’s body, discussing the positive impact this mindset can have on stress management and overall well-being.
Simultaneously, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu hosted Dr Abdulla Nazim and Dr. Hussain Shamah. Throughout the year, both resorts will continue to invite various experts to discuss a wide range of intellectual health topics, aiming to educate and raise awareness within the hospitality industry.
This initiative seeks to create a psychologically safe work environment for resort staff, allowing them to explore new aspects of overall well-being. Coco Collection hopes this programme will inspire positive change within the industry by promoting the importance of mental health and reducing misconceptions surrounding it.
