Dusit Thani Maldives proudly celebrated Earth Day 2025 with a series of meaningful, hands-on experiences that brought guests closer to nature and highlighted the resort’s ongoing dedication to environmental preservation.
Spearheaded by Laura Allevi, the resort’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager, the celebration was a reflection of the property’s broader sustainability goals under Dusit International’s Tree of Life programme. With a strong background in sustainable tourism and a passion for community engagement and conservation, Laura continues to lead initiatives that embed eco-conscious values into the guest journey and operational culture at the resort.
Guests took part in five specially curated activities, each designed to honour the Earth and foster a deeper connection with the environment:
The day concluded with the creation of a stunning Earth Mandala in the Devarana Garden, where guests and team members came together to form a symbolic artwork using natural materials found around the island.
Dusit Thani Maldives remains deeply committed to environmental responsibility and has already achieved the first level of Tree of Life certification — a recognition of its efforts to incorporate sustainability into all aspects of the resort.
Ongoing initiatives include:
“Our Earth Day programme was more than a celebration — it was a reminder of the responsibility we all share,” said Laura Allevi. “It was truly inspiring to see guests and team members come together with a shared purpose to honour and protect the environment we are so fortunate to call home.”
Located in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, Dusit Thani Maldives continues to set a benchmark for sustainability-led luxury hospitality, delivering experiences that leave a positive and lasting impact on the planet and its people.
