Filitheyo Island Resort, managed by AAA Hotels & Resorts has welcomed the 1.5 millionth tourist of 2019 to the Maldives, Ms.Marina Kazakova from Russia.
Mrs. Marina Kazakova was commemorated with the stamping of her passport by the Maldives Immigration officer. Mrs. Marina Kazakova and her husband were then escorted with a traditional Maldivian Bodu Beru performance to the VIP lounge area. They were welcomed by the honorable Ali Waheed, Minister of Tourism, Mr. Thoyyib Mohamed, Managing Director of MMPRC, Mr. Moosa Solih, Acting Managing Director of MACL, and Chief Guest Mr. Ahmed Nazeer, Secretary-General of MATI. The venue was decorated for the ceremony and the couple was awarded congratulatory certificate and special gifts representing traditional Maldivian culture and tourism.
This is the couple’s 7th time to the Maldives and they are staying at Filitheyo Island Resort, a natural tropical island which is lush in vegetation and surrounded by a stunning house reef. The resort offers guests what can be only be described as a barefoot luxury retreat.
