An open workshop for locals and other hotel guests was held on 4th January 2020 at 4 PM, at Hard Rock Café Maldives. The workshop was held together with one of the top acoustic guitarists in the world, Luca Stricagnoli.

People from different areas were invited to witness his talent. He is known for his unique style and innovative playing techniques which he demonstrated during the workshop. Furthermore, he explained the process and development behind this signature style of playing. Luca brings an enthusiastic energy to the stage that attracts concert requests from around the world, and his music has been featured in countless magazines and TV channels, and has grabbed the attention of world-famous artists such as “Red Hot Chili Peppers” and “Walk Off The Earth.” For musicians interested in a jam session, a guitar, bass, drums, and keys were also set up on stage.

This event is the first of many initiatives in support of the local music community. As there are currently no proper music schools, and most local musicians are self-made, Hard Rock Café Maldives wanted to provide an opportunity for these musicians and music lovers to come together and experience the love of music and build relationships through that common ground. As Hard Rock Café Maldives has been fortunate enough to be able to work with many local bands, and hope to continue to do so, they wanted to create a link between local musicians and internationally renowned musicians. Luca is a perfect example, and the café hopes they can enforce this passion and creativity through such a workshop.
