JA Manafaru has announced a curated series of visiting culinary artist experiences, welcoming internationally recognised chefs, a winemaker, and a mixologist to the island for a limited run of immersive dining and beverage encounters. Taking place between February and March 2026, the programme brings global craftsmanship, storytelling, and technique to the resort’s intimate dining spaces.
The visiting culinary artists form part of JA Manafaru’s ongoing commitment to creating meaningful, experience-led moments at the table—where guests can engage directly with the people behind the craft.


JA Manafaru welcomes brothers Manolo Allochis and Rossano Allochis from 15th to 18th February 2026, founders of the acclaimed Piedmontese restaurant Il Vigneto di Roddi, for an exclusive culinary residency.
Known for their refined yet heartfelt approach to Northern Italian cuisine, the Allochis brothers bring the flavours of Piedmont to the Maldives through thoughtfully crafted menus, warm hospitality, and a strong sense of place rooted in regional tradition. Their residency will feature a series of signature dining experiences designed to showcase Italian culinary heritage in an island setting.

From 23 to 28 February, JA Manafaru welcomes Juan Lagos, Head Mixologist at Mandarin Oriental Macau, and a finalist of World Class Asia.
Known for his narrative-driven cocktails and scientific precision, Juan’s residency includes masterclasses, sunset cocktail sessions, signature tastings, and bespoke creations crafted exclusively for the island. His approach blends classic cocktail foundations with modern expression, Latin American warmth, and Asian influences—creating immersive and expressive drinking experiences.

Sixth-generation winemaker Illaria Felluga of Marco Felluga will host an intimate wine pairing dinner on 2nd March at The Cellar, JA Manafaru’s underground wine sanctuary.
Recently recognised by Forbes for her role in shaping the future of Italian winemaking, Illaria represents a new generation carrying forward a family legacy defined by terroir, craftsmanship, and sustainability. During the evening, she will guide guests through a curated selection of Cantine Felluga wines, paired with a bespoke multi-course menu, offering personal insight into Friulian terroir and the evolution of the estate.
Together, these visiting culinary artist experiences reflect JA Manafaru’s dedication to curating limited-time moments shaped by global talent, thoughtful storytelling, and refined island hospitality. Additional visiting chefs, sommeliers, and mixologists will join the programme throughout the year, further enriching the resort’s evolving culinary calendar.
