Maldives lands the Forbes list of Top 20 Destinations For 2020

Maldives has landed a spot on the Forbes list of the top 20 destinations for 2020.

One of the most demanded American business magazines, Forbes curated a wanderlust-inciting list that spans from Monterey to Macau. The list described Maldives as, “A trip to this magical chain of Indian Ocean atolls is always a good idea. But in the new year, the Maldives’ sparkling blue waters make an even bigger splash with exciting renovations (COMO Cocoa Island, Maldives), smashing debuts (Capella Maldives) and new wellness offerings from established resorts (The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort’s Visiting Practitioners Series) that we can’t wait to experience.”

The Maldives also topped the list of 2019’s most searched holiday destinations on Google and landed on the list of 2019’s 10 best places to travel on a budget by Lonely Planet.

The destination has witnessed a significant increase in tourist arrivals this year reaching 1.5 Millionth arrival target in November 2019. Tourist arrival which was recorded till October 2019 is 1,393,618 which is 14.5% increase compared to 2018.
