Maldives to see Floating Islands in the Future

Ministry of Tourism has signed an agreement with Dutch Docklands, a Netherlands company to develop floating islands in the Maldives. These islands are being developed in order to escape the consequences of climate change in the future.

In a ceremony held in the Ministry of Tourism, the agreement was signed by State Minister of Tourism, Dr. Ahmed Solih and the CEO of Dutch Docklands, Mr. Paul Van De Camp. More information on the project will be shared in the near future, as per the Ministry.

There has been talks of development of a resort in the Maldives by the name Ocean Flower under Dutch Docklands in the past. However, there have been no details shared regarding this project this past couple of years.
