Maldives Tourism Surges 15% in Early 2024

According to data released by the Ministry of Tourism, tourist arrivals in the Maldives during the first quarter of 2024 surged by 15.3% compared to the same period in 2023. By March 31st, 604,004 tourists had visited the island nation, compared to 523,928 during the same period in 2023.

The tourism industry’s upward trajectory as the Maldives saw 194,227 tourist arrivals in March 2024. Statistics indicate an average daily arrival of approximately 6,265 tourists, with visitors enjoying an average stay of 8.1 days.
