Maldives Immigration completed the clearance process for the passengers and crew upon arrival. The Maldives continues to attract cruise tourism, with regular visits from international cruise lines contributing to the tourism sector. In March, the luxury cruise liner MS Insignia, operated by the Oceania Cruise Company, arrived in the Maldives with approximately 1,000 tourists on board.

With the government’s focus on expanding cruise tourism, overall tourist arrivals in the Maldives have continued to increase. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, the Maldives has recorded over 856,998 visitors so far this year.
