News about the sale of Safari Island which was reported in local media has been refuted by Angiri Resorts which operates Safari Island. An official from Angiri Resorts said that while the ownership of Mushimas Migili (Safari Island) is up for sale by the government, Angiri Resorts will continue its operations as usual.
Safari Island is located in North Ari Atoll 60km away from Velana International Airport and takes about 25 minutes to reach the island by seaplane.
The island is surrounded by white powdery, sandy beach and crystal clear water lagoon and house reef which attracts snorkelers and divers with many attractive diving points. The island has its own luxury safari boats for the use of in house guests free of charge.
