Standard Stands Together, Lights Up in Heart Shape to Lift Spirits Amid COVID-19 Crisis

The global hospitality community has never seen anything like what has occurred over the past week. The mandated shut downs and social distancing has forced many to close their doors.

Workers in hotels, restaurants and bars around the world facing the same circumstances, some 266 million globally.

To lift up the spirits of communities that have been affected by COVID-19, The Standard hotels that operate in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, London and the Maldives have lit up their neighborhoods in New York (The Standard, High Line) and London (The Standard, London), with an engineering marvel of a giant heart across the façade of their iconic property walls.

The Standard has also announced The Standard Stands Together Relief Fund, seeded by the leadership team at The Standard who are now opening it to their extended Standard family to help reach their goal. 100% of the proceeds will be used for the benefit and support of team members who have lost jobs due to the effect of COVID-19 and are struggling to maintain basic human needs including health care, medicine, groceries, diapers, and shelter.⠀
