Turkish Airlines is offering a 40% discount on airfares for health care workers across the globe.
The national flag carrier of Turkey said that the campaign was aimed at people “who are working selflessly to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.” Up to three people travelling with a health care worker would be able to benefit from the discount, the airline said.
Customers must pre-register for the offer by following the instructions on this page, and must be a member of the carrier’s Miles and Smiles loyalty programme to take advantage of the promotion.
Registration will remain open until July 18, and eligible customers will be sent a promo code to use during the booking process. They then have until August 8 to book tickets, for travel until May 31, 2021.
The code will be unique to the customer’s Miles and Smiles membership number, to avoid it being passed on. Once the 100,000 limit has been reached, no more codes will be distributed.
The discount does not apply to taxes and charges, and according to the terms and conditions is “valid for a limited number of seats”.
It is not valid on codeshare or Star Alliance partner flights, and there are certain blackout travel periods.
