Fushifaru Maldives Women’s Day 2026: Empowered by Kindness, Inspired by the Ocean

Fushifaru Maldives is celebrating International Women’s Day 2026 with a special programme themed “Waves of Kindness – #GivetoGain,” reflecting values of empowerment, community, and ocean conservation. The celebration highlights the resort’s philosophy of being Empowered by Kindness, Inspired by the Ocean, bringing together guests, residents, and team members in honour of women’s achievements and contributions.

As part of the initiative, artist Rachel Brooks will conduct a live art workshop on 7th March. During the session, Brooks will create a painting inspired by the vibrant beauty of marine life, symbolising the connection between humanity and the ocean. The artwork is intended to promote environmental awareness and emphasise that kindness extends beyond people to include nature and marine ecosystems.

International Women’s Day will be officially observed on 8th March with guests and residents at the resort. This year’s theme, #GivetoGain, promotes mutual support, opportunity creation, and women’s empowerment through shared encouragement, respect, and kindness. The celebration underscores the belief that collective progress is achieved when individuals uplift one another.

The evening programme will feature a Women’s Day Cocktail Party, where gentlemen on the island will present roses to women guests and team members as a gesture of appreciation and respect. The tradition will be followed by a DJ performance, creating a festive atmosphere for communal celebration.
