Furaveri Resort & Spa will see the commencement of a four-day PADI Member Forum from 15th-18th September. This is a one of a kind ventures by PADI in association with Dive Club and Furaveri Maldives.

The event will begin on 15th September at Furaveri Maldives where all participants will gather for a networking evening. All interested participants can take part in the dives during the day. Fun and educative activities have been lined up during this four-day event including a visit to a local island to conduct environmental and conservation talks at a school, followed by a beach or island clean up.

The forum will also see certified divers assisting in collecting underwater debris and posting the report findings to Project AWARE. There will also be a theory class prior to the dive after-which they will be provided with a certification upon completion of this course.

The last day, 18th September will be Project AWARE specialty day where all the participants are invited (divers and non-divers as well as children) for a powerpoint presentation and a networking evening.

Project AWARE is an environmental ethic initiated by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI®) in the late 80’s. The initiative aims to inspire, inform and provide the tools needed to engage and connect individuals, governments, NGOS, and businesses who share values and vision for a clean, healthy ocean.
