Ahmed Shaheen, the Director of Food and Beverages at Sun Siyam Olhuveli, has an extensive and distinguished career spanning nearly three decades in the hospitality industry. His journey began in 1994 at Kuramathi Island Resort, where his interest in the hospitality industry was sparked by observing his uncles working in the field. This initial exposure ignited his passion for the industry, and over the years, he honed his skills at several renowned resorts, including Four Seasons Kuda Huraa and W Maldives. His career took a significant leap when he joined St. Regis Maldives Vommuli as the pre-opening Food and Beverage Manager, an experience that was transformative for both his professional growth and the success of the resort’s opening. His diverse experience, which also includes roles at Four Seasons Resort & Club Dallas, Joali Maldives, and the pre-opening Food and Beverage teams at Joali Being, has shaped him into a leader who thrives on bringing innovation, excellence and a deep commitment to guest satisfaction to every property he works with.
