Manujaya Fernando Promoted to General Manager, Sales & Marketing for Adaaran Resorts and Heritance Aarah
Aitken Spence Hotels has announced the promotion of Manujaya Fernando to General Manager – Sales & Marketing for its Maldives portfolio, overseeing the commercial strategy for Adaaran Resorts and Heritance Aarah.
Fernando steps into the role following years of leadership within the organisation, having most recently served as Deputy General Manager – Sales & Marketing. Throughout his tenure, he has played an instrumental role in expanding the brands’ global presence, strengthening relationships with international travel partners and driving commercial performance across key source markets.
A Sri Lankan hospitality professional with a passion for creating memorable travel experiences, Fernando has built a career shaped by global exposure, having travelled across more than 52 countries and developed a deep understanding of diverse cultures, traveller expectations and international hospitality trends.
Combining creative storytelling with commercial strategy, Fernando holds an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, is a Chartered Marketer and MCIM UK, and is certified by CMA Australia. His multidisciplinary background has enabled him to develop innovative approaches to brand positioning, market engagement and long-term business growth. His expertise in international sales, strategic marketing and market development has helped position Adaaran Resorts and Heritance Aarah among the leading hospitality brands in the Maldives.
