Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas’ SEA Restaurant Secures Wine Awards and Unveils Wine Events for March and April 2024

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas has secured both the Wine Spectator Awards and the World of Fine Wine List award for the year 2023. These esteemed accolades recognise the resort’s dedication to providing an extraordinary wine experience for its guests, complementing its world-class cuisine and breathtaking island setting. 

The Wine Spectator Awards and the World of Fine Wine List award celebrate venues with exceptional wine selections and exemplary service. SEA, the resort’s signature underwater restaurant, boasts an impressive collection expertly curated by the resort’s Area Wine Guru & WSET Educator, Arunkumar Tamilselvan, and resident Beverage Manager, Lenka Praveen. This collection features rare vintages and timeless classics meticulously chosen to elevate the dining experience at the restaurant. 


Alongside this prestigious recognition, the wine experts at Anantara Kihavah are excited to introduce a series of exclusive wine and beverage events. These premium gatherings are orchestrated by the resort’s team of wine and beverage connoisseurs, Arunkumar Tamilselvan and Lenka Praveen, with gourmet cuisines expertly curated and crafted by Executive Chef Joachim Textor. 


On Thursday, March 28, 2024, embark on a gastronomic indulgence six meters below the ocean with Duval Leroy Champagnes. Taking place at the SEA Underwater Restaurant, delve into a culinary journey six metres below the ocean, where guests will indulge in an exquisite 5-course dining affair paired with versatile Champagnes from Duval-Leroy. The evening starts with an aperitif at SKY Bar from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm, followed by dinner at SEA. Dinner is priced at USD 445++ per person. 


Experience an evening of unparalleled culinary journey at Plates Restaurant on Monday, April 1. Guests are invited to indulge in a lavish culinary adventure where the spotlight is on the iconic Super Tuscan wines. Led by the resort’s esteemed resident wine guru, diners will be guided through an exquisite selection, unveiling the unique charm and prestige of these exceptional Italian blends. Crafted by the resort’s Executive Chef, each of the five courses is meticulously designed to harmonise flavours and captivate even the most discerning palates. The evening begins with an elegant aperitif at Plates Beach from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm, followed by a sumptuous dinner. Priced at USD 295++ per
