The Nautilus Maldives is set welcome acclaimed British painter Phoebe Dickinson for an intimate Artist in Residence programme from 18 to 21 October 2026, bringing her distinctive approach to portraiture and landscapes to the Maldivian island.
Drawing inspiration from the light, colours and natural surroundings of the Maldives, Dickinson will create original works throughout her stay, translating moments and landscapes from The Nautilus into paintings. The residency forms part of the resort’s Masters for Masters creative calendar, which celebrates individuality, imagination and artistic expression.

As part of the programme, guests will have the opportunity to follow Dickinson’s creative process through Open Artist Studio sessions. The sessions will offer an intimate look at her work as she paints live, sharing the ideas and observations that shape each piece while inviting guests to engage in conversation.
Guests can also join Dickinson for Paint Your Own Postcard, a relaxed landscape painting experience held around sunset. Guided by the artist, participants will capture the colours, views and atmosphere of The Nautilus on canvas, creating a personal keepsake inspired by their island surroundings.

The residency will culminate in a guest artwork showcase and the unveiling of Dickinson’s Nautilus Collection, bringing together the works created throughout her stay and the creative experiences shared with guests.
