Celebrate a Golden Week of Culture and Island Experiences at Amilla Maldives

Amilla Maldives is set to celebrate Golden Week 2026 with a curated programme of island experiences bringing together Chinese-inspired traditions, Maldivian culture, wellness, family activities, ocean adventures and dining from 1 to 7 October.
Designed to bring a festive rhythm to the island throughout the week, the programme features a blend of cultural activities and resort experiences, from dragon mask making, lucky lantern crafting and panda sand art to traditional Maldivian cooking, fishing and marine excursions.
The celebrations extend across Amilla’s family offering, with the Kids Club hosting activities including dragon charades, golden coin treasure hunts, bracelet making, coconut painting, photography and movie nights at Amilla Odeon. A family beach badminton tournament and kite festival add further opportunities for guests of different ages to enjoy time together.
Wellness is woven into the programme through sessions with visiting practitioner Dr Lim at Javvu Spa. Guests can take part in TCM Qigong and embodiment exploration sessions, adding a restorative element to the week alongside Amilla’s island and ocean experiences.
The programme also invites guests to explore the waters surrounding the island through experiences including Blue Hole snorkelling, Ocean Discovery, dolphin discovery, sandbank visits and sunset cruises. Traditional sunrise and sunset fishing further connect the Golden Week celebrations with the natural and cultural character of the Maldives.
Culinary experiences form another part of the week, with sushi making, lagoon wine tastings, cocktail sessions and a traditional Maldivian cooking class complemented by more indulgent dining experiences. Private beach dinners, lobster and champagne by the sea, and themed evenings provide a selection of options for couples and groups. Evenings continue the celebrations with Maldivian Night, Maldivian Rhythms, Drum Fiesta, Amplify Evening, cocktail parties and live music, alongside the recurring Magical Hour at Sunset Bar and Baa Bar.
