Niyama Private Islands Maldives Welcomes White Elegance Festive Season

Niyama Private Islands Maldives is set to celebrate the festive season with White Elegance, bringing together Christmas traditions, culinary experiences, wellness activities, marine conservation and family entertainment across its twin islands of Chill and Play.
The festive programme begins with the Seven Continents Wine Pairing Dinner at Edge on 17 December, taking guests on a seven-course culinary journey inspired by flavours from around the world. This will be followed by the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Dune Beach on 18 December, accompanied by sunset cocktails, live entertainment and performances by Niyama Carollers.
Throughout the festive period, guests can enjoy a selection of dining experiences across the resort’s distinctive venues. Highlights include the White Elegance Affair Dinner at Blu, a Lobster and Champagne Beach BBQ at The Deli Beach, an Omakase dinner at Nest and an Oyster, Caviar and Champagne Odyssey at Subsix. The programme will also feature a Maldivian Seafood Feast, Braai Night and The Art of Tea Dinner, alongside festive afternoon indulgences and beachfront experiences.
A culinary highlight will be the appearance of Michelin-starred chef Nick Honeyman, who will join Niyama’s culinary team for a special multi-course dinner at Edge on 29 December. Honeyman brings international experience from Paris, Tokyo and Sydney, as well as his work at Paris Butter in Auckland and Le Petit Léon in France.
Families will find a range of festive activities at Explorers Kids Club, including gingerbread house decoration, a Santa Fun Fair and Santa’s arrival on Christmas Day. Children can also enjoy festive movie nights, beach carnival games and marine-focused experiences, including the Santa Sea Turtle Rangers beach walk and Ocean Guardians Camp led by Niyama’s resident marine biologist.
Marine conservation will form an important part of the celebrations, with Christmas Coral Planting on 24 December giving guests the opportunity to learn about reef ecology and contribute to coral restoration by attaching a coral fragment to a festive frame. The programme will also feature wellness and fitness experiences through Drift Spa and Active, including visiting wellness and fitness experts, while ocean activities and island experiences provide opportunities to explore Niyama’s tropical surroundings.
As the year draws to a close, White Elegance will continue with beachfront celebrations, live entertainment, culinary experiences and New Year festivities across Chill and Play, bringing the festive season to a close at Nature’s Playground.
