On June 19th, 2024, Sandies Bathala marked its 5th anniversary with an unforgettable evening filled with joy, reflection, and celebration. The event highlighted the resort’s journey, achievements, and the dedicated team that has made it all possible.
The evening began with a vibrant and colourful cocktail party, followed by a beach BBQ dinner. The ambience was filled with laughter and cheer, creating a joyful atmosphere that guests praised highly.
Our esteemed EAM, Tyronne Bastiyan, warmly welcomed guests and set the tone for the evening with a heartfelt speech. His words of gratitude and reflection resonated deeply with everyone present.
A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony featured department heads, guests, and team members coming together to celebrate our shared success. This moment epitomized the unity and collaborative spirit that define Sandies Bathala.

The night was enlivened with intermissions by the Sandies Bathala Women’s Club and talented team members. Traditional Maldivian drum and dance performances added a cultural touch, delighting the guests and adding to the festive atmosphere.
Special plaques were awarded to 35 pioneer team members, honouring their dedication and contributions to our journey. This heartfelt moment acknowledged their hard work and loyalty, which have been instrumental in our continued success. Over the past five years, Sandies Bathala has grown and thrived, creating a haven of tranquillity and luxury for visitors from around the world.
