Kandooma Maldives is inviting guests to explore the underwater world of the South Malé Atoll with its Dive Free promotion, providing complimentary scuba diving for up to two certified divers per villa, per day of stay.
Available under the resort’s new Dive Free offer, the promotion is designed for guests who want to make the most of the Maldives’ renowned underwater environment while staying just steps away from the ocean. The current offer, which requires a minimum three-night stay and includes two dives per person per day, is available until 30 September.
The Dive Free benefit includes dive boat transfers, air or Nitrox, equipment and a professional guide, making it easier for certified divers to explore the surrounding reefs without the need to arrange diving separately.
Kandooma Dive operates as a fully accredited PADI 5-Star Dive Resort, with its own fleet of dive boats, professional instructors and a range of equipment and diving programmes. The centre caters to both experienced divers and those looking to return to diving after a break, with refresher dives available to help guests regain confidence before heading out into the water.
Located in the South Malé Atoll, Kandooma provides access to a wide variety of dive sites, offering encounters with the marine life and underwater landscapes that have made the Maldives a sought-after destination for divers. The resort’s dive programme covers 28 sites, including Kandooma Thila, Kandooma Caves, Cocoa Corner, Embodhoo Express, Guraidhoo Corner, Miyaru Kandu and Fotteyo Kandu.
The underwater experience ranges from reef dives and channels to sites known for strong currents and encounters with marine life. Divers can discover colourful coral formations, schools of tropical fish and, depending on conditions and season, larger marine species such as turtles, rays and reef sharks.
For those seeking a different perspective of the reef, night diving offers the opportunity to observe marine life as it becomes active after sunset, revealing another side of the Maldivian underwater environment.
With warm tropical waters, clear visibility and a dedicated dive centre, Kandooma offers an opportunity to combine an island escape with regular access to the ocean. The resort was recognised as the Maldives’ Leading Dive Resort at the 2025 World Travel Awards and was also named Best Dive Resort in 2023.
Under the current promotion, guests staying a minimum of three nights can receive two dives per person per day for up to two certified divers per villa. The current offer expires on 30 September and will be replaced by the resort’s new Dive Free offer.
