Freedive Maldives Starts Training for Resort Participants for Neyvaa 2

Freedive Maldives has started training their resort participants for Neyvaa 2.

Neyvaa 2 will see an attempt to a new world record for the most number of people performing static apnea simultaneously. As such, they are conducting a 5-day training at each participating resort to prepare for the record with the resort staff.

Currently, they are at the fourth resort for this training and in the upcoming 2 months, they will be undertaking the training at all participating resorts.

Trainings have now been completed at Sun Island Resort & Spa, Filitheyo Island Resort and Royal Island Resort & Spa.

The proper five-day training programme includes the teaching of physiology of breath holding, safety and relaxation along with training them for a 2-minute hold underwater. The requirement to take part in the event is the 2-minute hold which does not necessarily require any previous diving or swimming skills.

Participating resorts for Neyvaa 2 are Filitheyo Island Resort, Sun Island Resort & Spa, Royal Island Resort & Spa, Paradise Island Resort & Spa, W Maldives, Jumeirah Maldives, One & Only Reethi Rah, Grand Park Kohdhipparu, Crossroads Maldives, Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru and Soneva Fushi.

All those who wish to register from the participating resorts for the event can now start the registrations by contacting the resort HR departments.

The event is scheduled to take place on 01st October 2022, as part of the celebrations of this exceptional year marking 50 years – the Golden Jubilee celebration of tourism in the Maldives.
