From Santa’s Arrival to the New Year Countdown at Meeru Maldives Resort Island

Meeru Maldives Resort Island is set to host a festive programme from 21 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, bringing together Christmas celebrations, family activities, gala dinners, live music and New Year festivities.
The programme features seasonal entertainment and activities for guests of all ages, including Santa’s arrival, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve gala dinners, Maldivian cultural performances, beach parties and children’s activities.
Festivities begin on 21 December with Christmas ornament and tree decorating at the Koamas Kids Playroom, followed by festive lighting, cocktails and live music at Dhoni Bar Beach. On Christmas Eve, children can write letters to Santa before Santa’s Christmas Surprise brings families together at the beach. The evening continues with a gala dinner at the resort’s buffet restaurants, followed by a DJ party at Dhoni Bar Beach.
Christmas Day activities include bracelet making, Maldivian handicrafts and golf target hitting, followed by a Maldivian Cultural Night at Kakuni Bar.
Throughout the festive period, the resort will organise activities for families and younger guests through its Koamas Kids programme. These include a Coconut Quest, Little Mocktail Masters and the Meeru Mini Olympics, alongside creative activities and a movie night under the stars at Dhoni Bar Beach on 22 December.
Additional entertainment includes pool parties, football matches between guests and the Meeru team, a padel tennis session, sunset live music, karaoke and DJ entertainment.
On 31 December, guests can join the ‘Thank You, 2026’ cocktail party with live music at Dhoni Bar Beach before attending the New Year’s Eve gala dinner at the resort’s buffet restaurants. The evening culminates in a countdown party at Dhoni Bar Beach, where guests and the Meeru team will welcome 2027 together.
The celebrations continue into the New Year with a Maldivian Cultural Night on 1 January and a Glow Party with a DJ on 2 January, alongside further activities and entertainment through 3 January.
