JA Manafaru has announced the launch of new menus at White Orchid Restaurant. Debuting on 10th September, this fresh dining experience will showcase modern Japanese cuisine while adhering to sustainable practices.
The new menu features signature dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients and a commitment to sustainability:
Entrées: Reef Octopus with ginger, scallion, lemon, soy, mirin salmon roe, chilli crisps, sesame, and homegrown microgreens. These microgreens are freshly harvested from the on-site garden, underscoring a commitment to farm-to-table dining, reducing environmental impact.
Mains: Yellowfin Tuna Steak with roasted tuna jus, lemon, teppan-fried onion, broccolini, and a refreshing myoga salad. The tuna is freshly caught and sourced directly from local fishermen, ensuring exceptional quality while supporting the local fishing community and promoting sustainable seafood practices.
White Orchid Restaurant’s new menu exemplifies its dedication to sustainability. By using homegrown ingredients and partnering with local fishermen, the restaurant aims to reduce its carbon footprint and source seafood responsibly. Supporting local fisheries and practising sustainability helps preserve marine ecosystems while offering high-quality, eco-friendly dining. Additionally, we have planted an Edible Flower Garden near White Orchid to enhance our garden-to-table approach with fresh, healthy garnishes.
In addition to its signature dishes, the restaurant will offer the “Wellness Your Way” menu, catering to various dietary needs. This wellness-focused menu provides delicious and nutritious alternatives for those with specific dietary restrictions or those seeking healthier options, aligning with a holistic approach to well-being.
“The updated menu at White Orchid Restaurant reflects our commitment to modern Japanese cuisine and sustainable dining. We have emphasised the use of fresh, local ingredients, like garden microgreens and locally caught tuna. This not only enhances the flavour of our dishes but also supports the community and the environment. Each dish is crafted to offer a memorable dining experience that celebrates innovation,” says Executive Chef Moosa.
“White Orchid’s new menu showcases our dedication to excellence and sustainability. By blending modern Japanese cuisine with environmentally conscious practices and offering dedicated menus for gluten-free, low-carb, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan guests, we are elevating the dining experience in the Maldives. We look forward to welcoming guests to experience this fresh and responsible culinary perspective,” General Manager Jason Kruse added.
The newly enhanced menu will officially launch on 10th September 2024. Guests are invited to explore this innovative dining experience and enjoy the exceptional quality and sustainability that make White Orchid a unique dining destination in the Maldives.
