Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives, has confirmed an order for two new ATR 42-600 aircraft. Scheduled for delivery by the year’s end during the Singapore Airshow. This procurement signifies a substantial step forward in the airline’s quest for improved connectivity and service excellence.
Upon delivery, the airline’s ATR fleet will expand to a total of seven aircraft by 2025. The fleet encompasses both ATR 42-600 and ATR 72-600 models, which will optimise operational efficiency and network flexibility across its operations.
These additions are anticipated to augment the Maldives’ connectivity landscape further, catering to the diverse needs of its communities, tourism sector, and businesses while prioritising reliability, environmental sustainability, passenger comfort, and affordability.
