Nala Maldives by Jawakara Unveils Festive Programme for 2026–2027

Nala Maldives by Jawakara is set to welcome the festive season with a programme of culinary experiences, island activities, wellness treatments and live entertainment, bringing together Christmas and New Year celebrations from December 2026 into January 2027.

The festive programme features a variety of experiences, from themed dining and beachside celebrations to ocean adventures and traditional Maldivian entertainment. Guests can also enjoy wellness activities at Sulha Spa, offering opportunities for relaxation throughout the holiday season.

Festive Dining and Island Celebrations

Dining takes centre stage throughout the festive programme, with themed buffet evenings showcasing flavours from different culinary traditions. Highlights include Mediterranean Night Buffet, Maldivian Island Night Buffet, Asian Street Food Night Buffet, Arabian Night Buffet, Latin Fiesta Buffet and Seafood Night Buffet.

Christmas celebrations include a Christmas Eve Gala Dinner on 24 December, followed by Christmas Day Dinner on 25 December. The programme also features a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and festive cocktail party, alongside live music and DJ entertainment. The New Year celebrations will feature a New Year’s Eve Cocktail Party and Gala Dinner on 31 December, accompanied by live music and DJ performances. On 1 January 2027, a New Year’s Day Celebration Brunch will welcome the year ahead, with further dining experiences and entertainment continuing throughout the festive period.

Ocean Adventures and Island Experiences

The programme also offers a range of activities for those looking to explore the surrounding waters. The Big 5 Underwater World excursion offers opportunities to encounter sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, manta rays and dolphins, accompanied by experienced local guides. Other activities include jet ski safaris to Shark Point and nearby sandbanks, snorkelling with turtles, sea scooter exploration, flyboarding and water sports.

Guests can also take part in sunset handline fishing, casting fishing and local island trips. These experiences offer opportunities to explore the marine environment and discover Maldivian island culture. On land, activities include beach volleyball tournaments, Mini Olympics, poolside entertainment and friendly football matches between guests and the resort team. The programme also features a treasure hunt and pool party, adding further activities to the festive calendar.

Maldivian Culture and Culinary Experiences

Maldivian culture features throughout the programme, with Maldivian Island Night Buffet evenings complemented by cultural shows featuring traditional drumming, music and dance.

Culinary activities offer opportunities to explore different techniques, including pizza-making masterclasses, sushi-making experiences and Maldivian cooking classes. Guests can also participate in cocktail-making and barista classes, as well as fruit and vegetable carving workshops. Special dining experiences include a Full Moon Wine Pairing Dinner on the beach, an Around the World Wine Dinner, and a Chocolate and Cheese experience paired with wine.

Wellness and Rejuvenation at Sulha Spa

Sulha Spa will offer wellness experiences throughout the festive season, including yoga, pranayama and meditation sessions, Ayurvedic herbal infusions and botanical craft workshops. The spa’s Indulgence & Renewal Journey is available from 20 December 2026 to 6 January 2027. The 150-minute treatment combines detox therapies, aromatherapy, red light therapy and a tropical rain shower, concluding with fresh Maldivian coconut water and seasonal fruits.

The programme also includes a festive spa Christmas bazaar and additional wellness activities, offering opportunities to unwind during the holiday period.
