JLF Soneva Fushi, the first Maldives iteration of the legendary Jaipur Literature Festival, has announced the full festival programme. Taking place from May 13 to 22, 2022, the 10-day festival is set to be a vibrant celebration of the arts, culture, and performance, all taking place at Soneva Fushi, the original barefoot hideaway in the Maldives’ Baa Atoll.
The festival will be concentrated over the course of the two weekends, with daily keynote sessions and intimate breakout sessions, each led by a very-selective list of panellists. The days will start and end with music, as is the JLF tradition, and include some unique events and experiences, which are signature Soneva offerings.
The line-up includes acclaimed writers and international thought leaders, including Elif Shafak, Peter Frankopan, André Aciman, Shobhaa De, Mira Nair, William Dalrymple, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Huma Abedin, Marcus du Sautoy and many more. The festival’s events will be held at stunning locations across the island, with themes as varied as travel, fiction, food, art, wellness, climate change and the environment.
Alongside luxurious private villa accommodation and an array of rare experiences at the award-winning resort, guests at Soneva Fushi during the festival will enjoy all meals at selected dining destinations, complimentary domestic transfers and full access to the JLF Soneva Fushi programme. Rates for a minimum four-night stay start from USD 6,800 for two guests in a one-bedroom pool villa.
