S7 Airlines Expands Russia & Maldives Connectivity With Novosibirsk Route

S7 Airlines is set to launch a new route between Novosibirsk and Malé on 30 October, providing travellers from Siberia with a direct connection to the Maldives without the need to change aircraft in Moscow.
The service will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays using Airbus A320 family aircraft. Flights will make a technical stop in Jaipur, India, for refuelling, with passengers remaining on board throughout the stop.
Flights from Novosibirsk are scheduled to depart at 04:25 and arrive at Velana International Airport at 13:00 local time. The return service will leave Malé at 14:10 and reach Novosibirsk at 02:30 the following morning. Ticket sales for the new route are already open.
The new service expands scheduled air connectivity between the Maldives and Russia beyond Moscow ahead of the year-end travel period, adding a direct link from one of Siberia’s major cities.
Russia remains one of the Maldives’ leading source markets, with 224,031 arrivals recorded as of 23 September 2026. Total tourist arrivals stood at 1,557,439 by the same date, with the Maldives welcoming an average of 5,877 visitors per day.
