The MICHELIN Key Awards were revealed on 18 September following months of anonymous inspections, with the programme now spanning North America, Europe, Asia and nearly 100 additional markets. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is among just 657 hotels worldwide to receive Two MICHELIN Keys in 2026, recognising it as an exceptional stay offering a unique and consistently memorable experience.

Oscar Postma, General Manager, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, comments: “We are deeply honoured to receive Two MICHELIN Keys, particularly as this recognition reflects the  evolution of our resort and the dedication of our Ladies and Gentlemen. For us, exceptional hospitality is  not defined by any single element; it is the way every detail comes together and connects our guests to the island – from the care of our Aris Meeha and the design of our villas to the people and ideas we bring to  the island through Masters of Crafts, our culinary experiences and our commitment to the natural  environment. This is a wonderful acknowledgement of the passion, creativity and care our team brings to  life every day.”

The property looks forward to continuing to welcome guests to truly embrace the Circle of Island Life.  Located at Fari Islands in the North Malé Atoll and designed by Kerry Hill Architects, the flagship resort’s  iconic spherical aesthetic is inspired by the circular motion of the ocean and its swirling breezes, where modern architecture meets the Maldives. Set on white-sand beach coves and above vibrant azure waters its  luxury villas blend island living with modern design. Each villa offers ocean views, an infinity pool, a  spacious sundeck and the attention of an Aris Meeha personal butler.

A vibrant culinary scene is unfolds across seven restaurants and bars located on the resort’s dedicated  Culinary Island, Grand Sunset Beach and Fari Marina Village, while the design-masterpiece The Ritz Carlton Spa was the first spa in the region to partner with British wellness brand Bamford.

Through its Masters of Crafts program a living canvas of discovery brings together celebrated wellness  leaders, artists, chefs, and environmental advocates, creating opportunities for guests to connect, explore,  learn and build memories for a lifetime.
