Accor positioned as a global lifestyle leader

2018 is a historic year for the Accor Group with record openings and signings, and strong acceleration in the lifestyle sector, mainly due to the acquisition of 14 new brands that greatly strengthened the Group’s portfolio in this segment. It has progressively developed much within the previous year and is now known as a global leader in the lifestyle sector.

With 100,000 guestrooms opened in 2018, the Accor Group consolidated its position in an ever-growing market with strong and iconic complimentary brands while meeting consumer and owner expectations.

Different lifestyle segments are catered by the Accor Group through unique destinations, bold interiors by renowned designers, open new spaces for living, working and new experiences with music and entertainment, friendly, open and informal teams to assist people and a rich and varied F&B. They aim to position to different lifestyle segments with 10 new brands to be developed internationally.

The highlights of 2018 include the opening of Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi, Novotel Melbourne South Warf and the signing of the Ibis Styles Tokyo Bay, in Japan.

Within the 50 years of service, Accor Group has expanded to more than 100 countries with almost 4800 hotels, resorts, and residences.
