Asia Pacific University (APU) hosts its first abroad study tour to the Maldives

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) has hosted the first #APUAbroad in the Maldives.

Over 29 students from 10 nationalities attended to undergo this student tour where they spent 8 days and 7 nights in the Maldives.

The study tour was organized to cultivate an interest in environmental & sustainability studies, exposing students towards the tourism and economic development of the Maldives archipelago.

An array of educational activities including school visitations, lecture classes, cultural exchange sessions took place in line with tourism experiences such as fishing trip, dolphin tour and water sports activities.

The #APUAbroad group encompassed students and staff from various nationalities, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Egypt, China, Australia, India and Pakistan.

Close to 100 Maldivians Alumni joined Mohamed Hashim, Minister of State for Higher Education to welcome the visiting group on their first night at Male’, Maldives at a Welcome Dinner cum Alumni Gathering.

The Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) is amongst Malaysia’s Premier Private Universities. APU offers a wide range of degree programs in Technology that aim to nurture students into professionals and prepare them for challenging careers and roles in business and society globally.

Currently, APU houses more than 250 Maldivian students amongst its international community of 12,000 students who come from over 130 countries.
