Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort to Host Former Liverpool FC Defender Martin Kelly for Exclusive Football Camp

Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort is set to host four days of expert coaching, island adventures and family activities from 15 to 18 November 2026.

Young football enthusiasts can look forward to an exclusive Kids’ Football Camp featuring professional coaching sessions with former Liverpool FC defender Martin Kelly at Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort from 15 to 18 November 2026. Open to children aged five to 13 of all skill levels, the four-day programme will combine football training with island activities, offering young players the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence and make new friends.

Following three successful football camps with former England and Liverpool FC striker Michael Owen, Avani+ Fares Maldives continues to welcome young football enthusiasts with opportunities to train alongside former Premier League players.

The four-day programme includes daily afternoon training sessions, a welcome meet-and-greet with Martin Kelly, beach games, pool parties, FIFA tournaments and other island activities. Each participant will receive an official camp kit featuring two customised jerseys, shorts and socks, with the experience concluding in a grand finale where every child receives a medal and certificate.

“A football camp is about so much more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about helping young players enjoy the game, believe in themselves and learn how much they can achieve as part of a team,” said Martin Kelly. “I’m looking forward to sharing some of what I’ve learnt throughout my career and, most importantly, having fun with the kids in such an incredible setting.”

A Liverpool FC academy graduate, Kelly made 62 senior appearances for the club and was part of the squad that won the League Cup in 2012. He went on to enjoy a successful Premier League career, including a lengthy spell at Crystal Palace, bringing a wealth of experience to the camp.

The Exclusive Kids’ Football Camp runs from 15 to 18 November 2026, with a participation fee of USD 399 per child. The total five-night package starts from USD 3,784 per room for two adults and one child in a Premium Ocean View Room. The package includes accommodation, half-board dining, camp participation for one child, seaplane transfers and applicable taxes and service charges.
