Kandooma Maldives is inviting guests to trade end-of year routines for turquoise waters, sandy shores and a festive season filled with island experiences, as the resort prepares to celebrate Christmas and New Year with its Pirates’ Festive Adventure programme.
Kandooma Maldives has evolved into an experience-led all-inclusive island escape, bringing together the freedom of all-inclusive dining with the experiences that make a holiday memorable. From round-the-clock dining at Kandooma Café, with meals and snacks available to suit international arrival and departure times, to daily diving for eligible certified divers staying 4+ nights; the offering encourages guests to make more of every day.

Families can enjoy dedicated children’s activities, while couples and friends can balance ocean adventures with relaxed island living. It’s an approach to all-inclusive that goes beyond what’s on the plate, creating more opportunities to discover, experience and celebrate the Maldives.
Running from 22 December 2026 through to 7 January 2027, the programme brings together festive dining, family activities, ocean adventures, live entertainment and restorative wellness experiences, offering guests a chance to celebrate the season at their own pace in the South Malé Atoll.
For families, the spirit of adventure starts at Kandoo Kids’ Club, where a programme of themed activities includes pirate crafts, treasure-inspired games, creative challenges, festive card-making, gingerbread making and Christmas celebrations. Young guests can also look forward to seasonal highlights such as Santa’s arrival and Christmas cookie decorating, alongside daily opportunities to explore, create and play.
On the water, guests can discover another side of the Maldives through experiences including shark snorkelling, shipwreck safaris, turtle-point snorkelling, sunset cruises and night fishing. Surfing lessons offer an introduction to the region’s waves, while guided JetSki tours and other water activities add an extra dose of adventure for those keen to make the most of the Indian Ocean.
Festive dining is central to the celebration. Highlights include a Maldivian-themed buffet dinner accompanied by traditional boduberu drumming and a fire dance performance, a multi-course Christmas Eve gala, Christmas dining and special New Year celebrations. Across the programme, guests can enjoy a mix of island flavours, festive favourites and relaxed beachfront moments.
For those seeking a slower pace, Kandooma Spa by COMO Shambhala offers treatments designed to restore and recharge, from couples’ experiences to a three-day wellness reset. Surfer-focused recovery treatments provide another way to unwind between sessions on the water.
The programme continues into the New Year, with themed Kids’ Club activities and further opportunities to explore the island and its surrounding waters. The season culminates on 7 January with Orthodox Christmas celebrations, extending the festive spirit for guests observing the occasion.

“Festive holidays are about spending meaningful time together, discovering something new and creating memories that last long after the journey home,” says Andrew Drummond, General Manager of Kandooma Maldives.
“Our programme brings together the experiences that make an island holiday special, whether that means an ocean adventure, a celebration around the table, time to relax or a little festive magic for the family.”
Set on a private island in the South Malé Atoll, Kandooma Maldives offers an island escape for families, couples and friends, with a combination of beachside relaxation, marine experiences, dining and activities in a tropical setting.
Guests are encouraged to check the festive programme for activity schedules, inclusions and advance-booking requirements. Some excursions, water sports and spa treatments incur additional charges.
