Cocoon Maldives in collaboration with Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC) will be organizing an International Kite Festival on 28 September 2019. It is the second time Cocoon Maldives holds this festival in the Maldives. World-famous kite champions Edy Angelino from Italy, Guilherme Linares Paul from Brazil and David Wu from China will show their performances during the festival.
The event will be organized into two segments this year. The first one will begin on 28 September 2019 from 16:00 – 18:00 hours at Ekuveni Cricket Stadium, open to the public. The second event will be hosted in Hinnavaru, Lhaviyani atoll on 4 October 2019.
The visitors to the Kite Festival will get to see the display of formations and learn different kiting techniques. They will also have the opportunity to win gifts and one lucky winner will be able to receive a holiday at Cocoon Maldives.
A kite exhibition week will be held at the resort, open to all the guests staying at Cocoon Maldives from 28 September to 3 October 2019. This will open doors for all the guests in the resort to take part in valuable kiting lessons from world-famous kite flying champions.
