COMO Cocoa Island is an intimate private Maldives island resort surrounded by a beautiful turquoise lagoon and an exceptional house reef. The resort has 34 overwater villas where guests can head straight from the balcony into the turquoise waters underneath to see the teeming sea life. Other relaxation and fitness options include a wellness center that takes up a third of the island, a pilates studio, and a gym.

The first property by InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in the Maldives opened last September and is located in one of the country’s most secluded spots, namely near Baa Atoll, a UNESCO biosphere reserve in the Indian Ocean. Guests have the option to choose from 81 overwater, beach and lagoon villas. The resort also houses a three-bedroom Royal Beachfront Residence with 790 square meters of luxury. There are no fewer than six bars and restaurants and every guest also gets access to Club InterContinental amenities. They also have a spa housed in six overwater treatment villas.
