Crown & Champa Resorts to open a new wellness resort

Maldives’ first ever wellness island resort, Kagi Maldives is set to be launched by Crown & Champa Resorts (CCR). It is described as a 50-room resort, with 40 water villas and 10 beach villas, giving an authentic Maldivian experience blended with comfort and style.

Moreover, with an overwater restaurant, bar, and pool, the resort also gives guests a chance to experience an A La Carte restaurant deep within the vegetation of the island. Sitting a few meters of the coast of the island, the wellness center is the main attraction of the island, offering different styles of treatment rooms and an open-air yoga room.

The resort is being developed on the uninhabited island of Kagi in North Male Atoll. The 2.5-hectare island, located about 55 kilometers from the main Velana International Airport, was leased for USD 2.1 million through closed bidding in 2017. Photos reveal that construction of the resort is underway. However, the opening date is yet to be announced.

With the addition of this resort, the total number of properties owned by the CCR will rise to 9 resorts all across the Maldives, with each resort catering to different niches and gaining popularity rapidly.
