Dhigufaru Island Resort to reopen on Summer 2020

Dhigufaru Island Resort has announced plans to reopen in Summer 2020 after a major rebuild.

The rebuild will include expansion of Dhigufaru’s room inventory, with Water Villas, Pool Water Villas, Presidential Suite, and Family Villas being added to the accommodation options at the resort.

The resort is nestled on the protected Biosphere reserve of Baa Atoll, Dhigufaru Island meaning “a long reef” and was first opened in August 2016 with just 40 guest rooms, including 30 Beach Villas and 10 Semi-Water Villas.

Dhigufaru offers a variety of dining options with three restaurants and bars with its own distinctive character and feels to choose from depending on the guests’ mood. The resort has a range of activities to offer including a dive center and water sports center with a wide range of marine expeditions.
