Emirates and Marriott launch Hotel-Airline Loyalty Partnership

Emirates and Marriott are the latest to launch a Hotel-Airline loyalty partnership in the travel industry.

Regarded as a bold move for the Middle East carrier that has traditionally been cautious around partnerships and alliances, Emirates have created a partnership with Marriott to offer bonuses for elite loyalty members.

The partnership is similar to the ones that have been launched earlier this year such as American Airlines and Hyatt loyalty program.

The Your World Rewards partnership announced last week is applicable for those who travel frequently to or through the Middle East on Emirates.

The promotions offer Marriott Rewards elite travelers free points when making bookings on Emirates while Emirate elites, in turn, can earn extra frequent flyer miles in the Skywards program when booking nights in a Marriott Hotel. Other benefits include free Wi-Fi and late checkout for Skyward members and priority boarding and check-in at Emirate counters worldwide for Marriott elites.

Founded in 1985, Emirates is the largest airline in the Middle East, operating over 3,600 flights per week from its hub at Dubai International Airport, to more than 150 cities in 80 countries across six continents.
