Finolhu, a Seaside Collection Resort, has announced the appointment of Ishan Hussain as Deputy General Manager, marking a significant milestone in his hospitality career and continued journey with the award-winning luxury lifestyle resort in the Maldives.

With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ishan’s professional journey reflects dedication, perseverance and continuous growth. Beginning his career as a receptionist, he progressed through a series of operational and leadership positions, including Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager and Executive Assistant Manager, developing extensive expertise in guest experience, team leadership and resort operations.

Having joined Finolhu in 2016, Ishan has played an instrumental role in the resort’s operational development and evolution. His progression within the property saw him take on increasingly senior responsibilities, culminating in his promotion to Resort Manager in October 2023. In this capacity, he has overseen the resort’s day-to-day operations, supported the development of its leadership teams and contributed to strengthening the distinctive guest experiences for which Finolhu is recognised. His appointment as Deputy General Manager represents a natural continuation of this journey and recognition of his contribution to the resort’s success.

Ishan’s leadership approach places particular emphasis on people development, collaboration and creating an environment where team members are empowered to grow. His professional progression also reflects Finolhu’s commitment to nurturing Maldivian hospitality talent and creating meaningful opportunities for career advancement within the organisation.
