Flights to and from Sri Lanka Now Require a Negative PCR Test Done within 72 Hours

As a measure to safeguard travelers, flights arriving to or departing from Sri Lanka shall carry passengers with negative COVID-19 PCR test result in English, taken 72 hours prior to embarkation.

This is effective from 15th of October and is a requirement implemented by the Government of Sri Lanka.


Outbound passengers from Sri Lanka shall conduct the PCR test at a Health approved external laboratory in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan Airlines operates 3 flights to Maldives from 15th July 2020. The airlines fly to Maldives on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
