Heritance Aarah to Host Harmony by the Sea Luxury Wellness Festival

Heritance Aarah is set to host the inaugural Harmony by the Sea, an international luxury wellness festival that aims to position the Maldives as a leading year-round destination for luxury wellness tourism.

Scheduled to take place from 19 to 24 August 2026, the six-day festival is co-created by Way Well and Trips to Maldives as a flagship destination marketing initiative, bringing together internationally recognised wellness experts, luxury hospitality, wellness brands and immersive experiences on a single platform.

Billed as the first event of its kind in the Maldives, Harmony by the Sea has been designed to attract high-value international travellers while strengthening the country’s position within the rapidly growing global wellness tourism market. The initiative also aims to generate authentic destination storytelling and inspire future travel through meaningful experiences.

The festival will be hosted at Heritance Aarah, the award-winning all-inclusive resort in Raa Atoll. Set against the island’s natural surroundings, the resort provides the venue for a programme centred on wellbeing, nature and community.

Festival experiences will include sunrise yoga, meditation, sound healing, floating 8D breathwork, dance movement sessions, spa and recovery rituals, snorkelling and ocean experiences, creative workshops, vision boarding, community dining, conversations and cinema under the stars. Guests will also have access to curated wellness cuisine, restorative sleep programmes, mindfulness workshops, fitness sessions and immersive ocean-based activities.

Harmony by the Sea has been developed to appeal to an international audience of affluent wellness travellers, entrepreneurs, founders, creative leaders, luxury travellers, international media and content creators. Key source markets include India, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, Australia, Singapore and North America.

The festival is intended to contribute to year-round tourism by showcasing the Maldives beyond its established reputation for leisure and honeymoon travel. Through luxury hospitality, curated wellness programming and international marketing, the initiative seeks to increase global visibility for the destination while highlighting its potential as a hub for transformative travel experiences. The organisers have also presented the initiative to Visit Maldives, outlining opportunities for destination marketing collaboration through international public relations, digital campaigns, media engagement and tourism partnerships.

As a long-term platform rather than a one-off event, Harmony by the Sea aims to establish an international community centred on wellness, meaningful travel and authentic cultural experiences, while reinforcing the Maldives’ position as one of the world’s leading luxury destinations.
