The rapid spread of COVID-19 has led to uncertainty in traveling and taking part in fairs and roadshows all around the globe. TTM team decided to conduct a survey to have a better understanding of what the travel trade professionals in Maldives thinks about this matter.
As per the result, over 80% of the respondents have agreed that Maldives should skip Riyadh Travel Fair (March 2020), WTM Africa (April 2020) and US Roadshow while over 90% thinks Maldives should skip ITB China (April 2020) and China Roadshow.
However, 55% of the travel trade professionals agrees to participation at Arabian Travel Market -ATM (April 2020).
While ITB India 2020 has canceled over COVID-19 fears, majority of the respondents think MMPRC should resume attending roadshows/ fairs from June 2020.
MMPRC has assured that any decision will be made based on the opinions of their industry stakeholders.
