Maldives Marketing and Public Relation Corporation (MMPRC) welcomed influencers from the USA to the Maldives for a familiarization trip on 13 September 2019. This is the thirteenth familiarization trip conducted by the corporation for various markets this year.
The influencers will spend their time in Diamonds Athuruga, LUX* South Ari Atoll and in Reethi Faru Resort during their week-long trip. They are expected to experience the local culture, the colourful underwater beauty, learn about sustainable tourism practices and coral conservation in these resorts along with other entertainment and recreational activities.
The influencers will be sharing their experiences via their social media and blogs. This coverage is anticipated to bring forward more awareness about Maldives in the USA.
This familiarization trip will conclude on the 20th of this month. These trips are part of the many additional marketing activities initiated by MMPRC this year to promote the Maldives as a destination. Similar familiarization trips have also been conducted targeting various media from different countries to promote tourism in the Maldives.
