Jamila Matriano brings a fresh outlook as the new Marketing and Communications Manager of Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives.
She joins the island resort from an eight-year stint in Jordan where she served as Communications Manager for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. Her last two years in a cluster role overseeing marketing for Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay Aqaba, Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba, Mövenpick Resort Petra and Mövenpick Nabatean Castle Hotel.
Jamila started her career in the hospitality industry over a decade ago when she graduated from the University of the Philippines, Diliman with a Bachelor in Science degree in Tourism.
From an early age, she knows her passion belongs to the hotel sector. After assisting the Asian Institute of Tourism in enhancing the educational program as a Research and Graduate Assistant, she joined the Manila Hotel as sales manager. She then joined Tajara Leisure Hospitality Group as Group Account Manager in charge of sales and marketing of several hotels and resorts under the company’s portfolio before exploring opportunities outside her home country in 2011. Jamila’s innate creativity set the tone in pursuing communication and marketing. For her, marketing is an exciting field where imagination is limitless, and possibilities are countless.
As Marketing and Communication Manager of Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives, her core functions will focus on enhancing public and community relations, managing online reputation and social media, enforcing branding standards, establishing a relationship with the press and media and seeking ways to efficiently and effectively communicate the Mövenpick Kuredhivaru Maldives news and offers.
